As we are not afraid of working at great heights, we had another opportunity this time to climb the 120 m high industrial chimney of a combined heat and power plant. Such work requires special precautions; your colleague is not just an extra pair of hands but also an additional pair of eyes ensuring the safety of the entire team.
In every climbing assignment undertaken by our company, we pay special attention to safety and hygiene at work, aware that we are responsible for our own health as well as the safety of bystanders. The work principles compliant with the IRATA system significantly facilitate the execution of these tasks.
The maintenance of the industrial chimney of the combined heat and power plant was, of course, carried out in several stages. We started with its inspection to determine the schedule for the climbing works, and the next stage was thorough cleaning and washing to proceed with removing loose pieces of the structure.
The next stage was painting the entire height of the chimney according to the client's wishes. Two layers of specialized paint were applied.
Industrial climbing is not only our job - our daily bread, but it is also our hobby, allowing us to perform our assignments as well as possible while also getting a bit of adrenaline during our rope work. Working at heights may not be the easiest task, but it allows us to see the world from a completely different perspective. Glory at heights.
