Wind farms

Farmy wiatrowe - Pogotowie Alpinistyczne

Construction of Wind Farms

In our work, we focus on continuously expanding our knowledge and building experiences in new areas. Our company's projects are carried out not only in the domestic field of **industrial alpinism**, but we also often embark on overseas trips. In this case, we visited our neighbors across the Oder, where we actively participated in erecting tower structures at wind farms.

The construction of such facilities is a rather complicated and multi-stage process, with appropriately trained and experienced personnel playing a significant role. Working in the green energy sector may not be the easiest, but it brings immense satisfaction, expands international contacts, and, it must be said, is adequately compensated in European currency.

We erected a concrete tower structure with a height of H=85m in just 7 days, made possible by prefabricating the ring elements, which are assembled on-site only before the final installation in the structure. The work requires perfect precision and good cooperation between the team assembling the rings and the operators of two cranes, as well as a second team performing the assembly of the rings at height.

Thanks to favorable weather conditions, there was no need to halt work due to storms or exceptionally windy weather. Rigorous health and safety regulations and detailed control of qualifications and certificates ensure the highest standard of skills among the people employed in the **construction of wind power plants**. We are pleased that we could contribute our modest brick to reducing harmful CO2 emissions.

Wind farm structure tensioning

The construction of a wind power plant is a multi-stage process involving a considerable number of workers who have the qualifications to perform work at heights. We, as industrial climbers, participate in the various stages of the construction process. Starting from building the concrete structure—work on assembling the rings—up to the final stage of installing the blades, where our climbing work is indispensable.

This time we had the pleasure of working on the installation of tension cables that secure the entire concrete structure of the hybrid wind turbine tower. These cables, or rather specially constructed steel ropes, stabilize and secure the concrete part of the structure. Precision in performing individual tasks is of utmost importance here.

In this type of height work, it is essential to complete the GWO (Global Wind Organization) course in three modules: WAH, FAW, FA (Work at Heights), (Fire Awareness), (First Aid). This provides fundamental knowledge about the specifics of the job, safety principles, and training in providing first aid in emergencies.

Although there is no need for typical climbing work at this stage of construction, it is a very responsible job that requires precision in action, perfect teamwork, and effective planning while adhering to proper procedures.

We are proud that our work contributes to the increase of green energy in the grid.
